“SCORE- Developing the Skills of COmmunity and Health Workers Working with Refugees”
Score is a new Erasmus+ KA2 project, which started in September 2017. The aim of the project is to strengthen the skills of professionals (municipal and health care professionals) who are employed or work voluntarily in organizations serving refugees locally (refugees outside the country’s entry and hot spots).
For this purpose, two studies will be carried out:
The first will focus on the particular needs of refugees in order to be able to fully integrate into the local community that they live in. The second will concern refugee professionals in order to identify to what extent they have the necessary knowledge and skills to deal effectively with the specific needs of refugees.
The final deliverable of the project will be, among other things, an educational tool aimed at municipal workers and health professionals in order to acquire a set of basic skills and knowledge that will enable them to understand the specific characteristics of the refugees, to help them integrate smoothly into the local community.
The duration of the project is 3 years and will be completed in August 2020.
Partners are public and private bodies, non-governmental organizations and training bodies from Italy, Spain, Denmark and Greece.
The first transnational meeting of the partners will take place in Patra (Greece) on 18-19 / 12/2017, where the actions to be implemented will be discussed in detail.
